The short version
Yuju does not create user accounts and contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. It does not upload your saved content, clipboard history, data cards, or typed content to a developer-operated server.
1. Data we process
To provide its features, Yuju processes content you save or authorize it to read on your device, including:
- saved content such as snippets, titles, groups, ordering, pinned state, and imported images;
- clipboard history such as text, links, images, and capture times;
- data cards such as templates, groups, fields, and encryption settings; and
- app preferences such as keyboard layouts, security options, feature switches, and required local state.
This data is primarily stored in the app container or App Group container on your iPhone, allowing the Yuju app and keyboard extension to work together on the device.
2. Clipboard
When Auto Capture is enabled, Yuju detects changes to the system clipboard while the main app is in the foreground and reads supported text, links, or images to save them in clipboard history. You can also use the refresh control to read the current clipboard manually.
Yuju continues checking the clipboard in the background only after you actively enable Background Capture, which uses the system Picture in Picture capability. You can turn off Background Capture or Auto Capture at any time. iOS may display a paste permission prompt, and you can adjust that permission in Settings.
Yuju skips clipboard items marked as concealed, transient, or associated with password managers. You can delete individual records or clear all clipboard history.
3. Custom keyboard and Full Access
The Yuju keyboard reads content saved by the main app from the local App Group. Browsing and inserting basic text snippets does not require Full Access. Features that write images to the system clipboard may require you to enable Full Access for the keyboard.
Full Access does not change this policy: Yuju does not record or transmit what you type in other apps, and it does not send your chat input to the developer. You can revoke Full Access at any time in iPhone keyboard settings.
4. Data cards and encryption
Data cards are stored in a separate Core Data database in the App Group. Fields marked as encrypted are written to the database as AES-GCM ciphertext. The encryption key is stored in an iOS Keychain access group shared by the main app and keyboard extension.
Encrypted fields remain masked and require Face ID, Touch ID, or device-owner authentication before each copy or keyboard insertion. Yuju does not receive your biometric data; authentication is handled by iOS.
Encrypted values copied from a data card use the local-only system clipboard. Yuju clears the decrypted in-memory session when you leave data cards.
5. Photos, files, and backups
When you import an image, save an image to Photos, import a file, or export a backup, Yuju uses the iOS photo picker, file picker, or share sheet to process the content you select. Yuju does not browse your full photo library or file directory without an action from you.
Saved content can be exported as ZIP or CSV. Data cards use a separate encrypted backup and are not included in saved-content backups. You may save files to iCloud Drive or another destination through the system share sheet. Yuju does not currently provide automatic CloudKit sync or operate a server that stores these backups.
6. Data sharing and third-party services
Yuju does not collect, sell, or share your personal content with the developer or third parties. When you intentionally copy, paste, share, import, export, or save a file to another app or cloud provider, that content is processed by the service you choose and is subject to its privacy policy.
Photos, Files, sharing, Picture in Picture, Keychain, and biometric authentication are system capabilities provided by iOS. Yuju contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or third-party sign-in.
7. Data retention, security, and your controls
On-device content remains until you delete or clear it in the app, or uninstall the app. Deleted saved content may first move to Recently Deleted, where you can restore or permanently delete it. Clipboard records can be permanently deleted directly. After uninstalling, iOS removes local app and shared-container data according to system rules.
Yuju uses iOS Data Protection, App Group entitlements, Keychain, and encryption to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. No storage method can guarantee absolute security, so protect your device passcode and save sensitive information only on devices you trust.
You can view, edit, delete, and export your content in the app; turn off clipboard capture or background capture; and revoke Photos access or keyboard Full Access in system settings.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, data practices, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page. We will provide an appropriate notice if a change materially affects your rights.
